Jody is a 7th generation Texan and 5th generation West Texan. Formerly an an award-winning journalist, he is now an entrepreneur, bringing cutting-edge technology companies to West Texas.

 

His passion is bringing this remarkable region's history to life and elevating awareness of our profound impact on the nation and world. A Texas Tech grad, Jody was raised in Kermit and Levelland, and now calls Lubbock home.

This podcast is dedicated to Jody's grandfather, J.L. Slaughter, and great-grandfather Bryant Eddleman.

 

J.L. was a rancher, cutting horse owner/trainer, business owner, city councilman, and City Judge in Kermit. Bryant was a cotton farmer and County Commissioner in Silverton.
